If you are required to conduct a background investigation for a college, educational program, internship, volunteer program or for a health care facility, please follow the instructions below.

You must order your background investigation through our web-based order entry process. Once you click on the link "ORDER A BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION" below or to the right, you will be prompted to provide information about you and you must choose a school, organization or health care facility so that TABB will conduct the proper background investigation for you. If you do not have the school, organization or health care facility, you may return to complete the process by logging in with your email address and the password you created.

Once you successfully order a background investigation and your credit card payment has been approved, you will receive email confirmation. You will receive an email notifying you when the background investigation is completed.

You may login to view the status of your background investigation, retrieve a copy of your report in the future or order additional background investigations. Please note: Your email address will be your username and it is required to gain access to your background investigation.

How can I pay for the search?
We accept MasterCard and Visa. Your background investigation will not be processed unless valid credit card information is provided and payment is authorized. To avoid delays, please insure that accurate information is provided. The cost will appear as TABB INC. on your credit statement.

How long will the criminal search take?
The results for New Jersey residents will take approximately seven to ten businesses days due to delays with the New Jersey State Police. Out of state searches are usually completed in two to three business days. The criminal research process cannot be expedited.

Will I receive a copy of the report?
Yes, the results will be returned by email to the email address you provide. Please save the link to this site. You may login at anytime in the future to retrieve a copy of your report.

Is my personal information secure?
Yes. Your personal information, including your credit card information, is masked in our reporting system and is protected by multiple layers of security. Neither the college nor any facility will have access to your date of birth, your social security number or your credit card information. For identification purposes, only the last four digits of your social security number will be in your background investigation.

If a criminal record is found, who can I call to discuss the record?
You may call the Student Account Manager at 908-879-4816. Please contact our office if you wish to dispute a criminal record.
